Canadian director Vincenzo Natali, who has shot such famous movies as "Cube" and "Chimera", intends to movie a story entitled "In the Tall Green Grass", which is the fruit of the joint work of Stephen King and his son Joe Hill. This is reported by Screen Daily.
The work was first published in Esquire magazine in the summer of 2012. In the story, a brother and sister go on a car trip and stop at a huge, tall grass field in Kansas, hearing a child's voice calling for help. In an effort to help the unknown child, they plunge into the sea of grass and soon lose sight of each other. The main characters have no idea what horror they will have to face among the tall green grass.
"Who would have thought that ordinary grass could be so scary? But Stephen King and Joe Hill know this. They managed to turn a seemingly harmless field in Kansas into a stage for one of the scariest stories I've ever had. read, "the director said in a statement.
The project will be funded by the Canadian company Copperheart Entertainment and will be presented as part of the upcoming European movie market. The terms of work and the date of the premiere have not yet been announced.
