Showtime has renewed the Billions financial drama for a second season. Counting views in the three days following its January 17, 2015 premiere, Billions was viewed by 6.5 million people across multiple platforms, seven percent more than former record holder Ray Donovan in 2013. This is reported by The Hollywood Reporter.

The hour-long drama, starring Homeland veteran Damian Lewis and Oscar nominee Paul Giamatti, portrays Manhattan's financial world and modern power. The series is written and executive produced by Brian Koppelman and David Levin (Ocean's Thirteen). The co-author was Andrew Sorkin, financial columnist for The New York Times. Giamatti already has experience with Sorkin – the actor starred in the TV movie "Too Big to Fail", which HBO movieed based on Sorkin's bestselling book "Too Big to Fail."

David Costabyle, Toby Moore, Maggie Siff also stars in "Billions" , Malin Ackerman, Condole Rashad and other actors.

"Billions" are part of the cable channel's line of drama series, including "Homeland", "Roman", "Masters of Sex", "Ray Donovan", "Horror cheap ", upcoming dramatic musical comedy" Roadies "and other projects.
