Malin Ackerman starred in Showtime Billions pilot (Topic)

Trophy Wife star Malin Ackerman has been cast as the pilot for Showtime's drama Billions opposite Damian Lewis and Paul Giamatti. This is reported by The Hollywood Reporter.

In the center of the plot of the drama "Billions" will be two titanic figures from the world of finance – the brilliant US Attorney Chuck Rhodes (Giamatti) and the ambitious king of the hedge fund Bobby "Ax" Axelrod (Lewis).

The heroine of Ackerman, Lara Axelrod, has turned from a modest former nurse into the wife of billionaire Bobby Axelrod.

The director of the pilot, movieed in New York at the time of this writing, has been appointed by Neil Berger ("Areas of Darkness"). Written and Executive Produced by the Billions Pilot are Brian Koppelman (Ocean's Thirteen), David Levin (Va-Bank) and Andrew Ross Sorkin. The pilot also stars Maggie Siff ("Sons of Anarchy"), Toby Leonard Moore ("Banshee"), Condola Rashad ("The Right Wife") and David Costabil ("Breaking Bad").
