Konami has confirmed Norman Reedus's departure from Silent Hills (Topic)

Studio Konami has commented on the statement by actor Norman Reedus about the possible closure of the project "Silent Hills". According to a company spokesman, quoted by Gamespot, Konami's contract with Reedus has indeed expired, which explains why he was posted on Twitter.

As for reports of the possible resignation of another project participant - Mexican director Guillermo Del Toro, as well as the closure of the project, Konami representatives declined to clarify, saying only that "the company will continue to work on the development of the Silent Hills series.

Note that rumors that the horror game "Silent Hills" will not be released in 2015, as previously thought, appeared in March 2015, when it became known about the conflict between developer Hideo Kojima and Konami. It has been argued that Koijima will withdraw from the studio following the September 2015 release of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.

Recall that the game "Silent Hills" was presented at Gamescom 2014. The authors of the project claimed that they intend to work together to make the most terrible game in the history of the industry, and Kojima even joked that collector's editions will be equipped with a "pair of spare pants".
