State Film Agency of Ukraine will finance a movie about Simon Petliura
The State Cinema of Ukraine has approved a list of movie projects that will receive financial support in 2016-2017. The final protocol, posted on the agency's website, states that the creators of 74 movies, including fiction, documentary and animation movies, submitted their applications. The funds allocated by the state will be used to finance the following: "The Secret Diaries of Simon Petliura" (studio named after Dovzhenko) - production budget of UAH 47.1 million, state support of UAH 23.5 million. "My father is a fascist" (studio "Golden Fleece") - production budget 1.6 million hryvnia, state support 1.6 million hryvnia. "Cyborgs" (studio "Idas-Film") - the production budget is 47.9 million hryvnia, state support is 23.9 million hryvnia. Donbas (studio "Arthouse-Traffic") - production budget UAH 41.6 million, state support UAH 16.7 million. "Not a declared war" (studio "Pronto-Film") - production budget 42.1 million hryvnia, state support 21 million hryvnia. "Cool" (studio "Good Moning Distribution") - the production budget is 44 million hryvnia, state support is 22 million hryvnia. The full list is available on the agency's website. Let us remind you that earlier the State Committee for Cinematography of Ukraine banned a number of movies of Soviet and USA production, in which actors "posing a threat to the national security of Ukraine", were shot.
