State Film Agency of Ukraine has added to the list of banned movies
The State Committee for Cinematography of Ukraine has added to the list of movies banned from showing in the country. As reported on the official website of the department, due to "inconsistency with the provisions of the Law on Cinematography," full-length movies and serials, not only USA, but also Ukrainian, were banned. In particular, "on the basis of the conclusions of the Expert Commission on the distribution and demonstration of movies" it was decided to refuse state registration and issue a state certificate for the right to distribute and show the movie at "On the Edge of the Abyss" (made in Ukraine). It described the attempts by Soviet scientists to create weapons of devastating power. The USA TV series "Personal File", "Escape 2" and "Ryzhik" were also banned.
