Top Spider-Man Contender Named
Studios Marvel has reduced the list of contenders for the role of the new Spider-Man to one actor. As SlashFilm reports, from now on, the favorite is Asa Butterfield, familiar to viewers from such movies as "Keeper of Time" and "Ender's Game". This information has not yet been officially confirmed by the studio, however, since the shooting of the movie "Captain America 3: Civil War" has already started, and Spider-Man should debut in this particular project, we should expect an announcement by Marvel on this topic in the near future. Recall that in February 2015, it became known that Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures agreed to share the image of Spider-Man. Following his debut in Captain America: The First Avenger 3, the superhero will be soloing the Sony Pictures project, which is set to premiere on July 28, 2017. In the future, Spider-Man will appear in the pictures of both studios. Under the terms of the deal, Marvel CEO Kevin Feige agreed to produce superhero movies for free. Sony Pictures had previously planned to release another Spider-Man movie in 2016. However, in the summer of 2014, after a rather uncertain distribution of the movie "The Amazing Spider-Man: High Voltage", the shooting of the next sequel was canceled.
