Streaming service Netflix has renewed Jason Momoa's "Frontier" for a second season, ahead of the six-part drama's debut in November 2016. This is reported by The Hollywood Reporter.

The series, produced by Discovery Canada, will be the channel's first original scripted drama and will be released in Canada on Sunday, November 6, 2016. It will premiere on Netflix in 2017.

The late eighteenth century fur trade takes place in a world where business negotiations are often handled by guns. The story will be told from several perspectives. Frontier explores the relationship between indigenous tribes and Europeans, which often led to bloody conflicts.

Momoa, Returning in season two, he plays Declan Harp, an ambitious, self-confident and charming man of unbridled disposition with a reputation as a hardened merchant driven by lust and vengeance. The series also stars Landon Liboiron, Alan Armstrong, Allan Hawco, Jessica Matten, Sean Doyle and Zoe Boyle.
