IMAX will open USA's first cinema with laser projectors
The IMAX company estimates the USA movie market as very promising, despite the decrease in profit in dollar terms due to the rise in the exchange rate, and is not going to abandon the previously announced development plans. This was announced during the traditional "IMAX Day" by the vice-president of the Canadian company John Schreiner. He, in particular, confirmed the readiness of IMAX to present in USA a new generation laser projection system, the presentation of which took place in December 2014. According to Schreiner, the first hall equipped with such projectors will open in Moscow at the end of 2015. The vice president of IMAX did not specify which movie will show all the benefits of the new system. Note that laser projectors provide brighter and richer images than traditional xenon projectors used in the vast majority of modern IMAX cinemas.
