Fantastic Voyage remake proposed by Guillermo Del Toro
Guillermo Del Toro is in talks with 20th Century Fox and Lightstorm Entertainment to stage a remake of the hit Fantastic Voyage movie. This is reported by The Hollywood Reporter. The project, which has been in production for several years, will be produced by James Cameron and John Landau, and scripted by David S. Goyer, with whom Del Toro worked on Blade 2. Recall that the plot of the original picture, released in 1966, was built around a rescue team, reduced by a unique technology to the size of an atom, and launched in a special submarine into the circulatory system of a dying scientist in a coma after the assassination field. Whether the plot of the remake will be a copy of the original, or the creators of the picture will offer a different interpretation of events, is not yet specified.
