David S. Goyer will write the screenplay for the James Cameron movie
Writer David S. Goyer has joined Fantastic Voyage, a remake of the 1966 science fiction movie of the same name. This is reported by The Hollywood Reporter. The movie will be produced by James Cameron's studio Lightstorm Entertainment with the assistance of FOX. Cameron himself will act as a producer. Note that the preparation of the remake was first announced in 2011, but since then no information about it has been reported. Previously, Sean Levy was listed as the director, but due to a conflict in movieing schedules, he is likely to leave the director's post. Cameron argued that the plot of the new version will be very different from the original. It is assumed that the plot will be built around a scientist going through hard times of his marriage. However, when the wife of the protagonist is mortally ill, he decides to use one of his inventions, which makes it possible to reduce objects many times, and, having penetrated into the woman's body, eliminate the cause of the disease. The most interesting thing begins when it penetrates into the wife's brain.
