68th Cannes Film Festival opens in France (Topic)

On May 13, 2015, the 68th International Film Festival opens in Cannes. The main competition program will feature 19 movies from around the world.

There are no USA movie projects among the contenders for the Golden Palm. Some USA paintings will be shown in various programs. In particular, the program of short movies Cinefondation will include "The Return of Erkin" by Maria Guskova and "14 Steps" by Maxim Shavkin, and the program "Cannes Classics" on the Beach "will show a restored version of Sergei Eisenstein's movie Ivan the Terrible.
