Jason Patrick ("Speed 2: Cruise Control") landed the lead role in the second season of M. Night Shyamalan's mystical drama "The Pines". This is reported by The Hollywood Reporter. In the second season of the Fox series, events will continue to unfold from where the story of the first season ended - the residents of Wayward Pines resist the harsh rule of the First Generation. Dr. Theo Edlin, a new resident of the city, comes to his senses after a long period of oblivion and finds himself in the center of "popular unrest", trying to understand what Wayward Pines really is and helping to save the human race from extinction. Patrick will play the role of Dr. Theo Jedlin, a confident and experienced surgeon whose leadership skills prove invaluable to the townspeople. Patrick's hero is one of the new characters of the second season, which Fox positions as a kind of reboot. As of this writing, casting is underway for regular roles, including Theo's wife, a member of the underground resistance, and a teenager, new hope and inspirer.
