Pines Season 2 Premiere Date Announced
Executive producer M. Night Shyamalan's second season of The Pines kicks off on Fox on May 25, 2016 and airs on Wednesdays. This is reported by Deadline. Empire star Terrence Howard, the first of the original cast to be approved by Fox and 20th TV in last year's summer thriller, will return for season two and reprise his role as sheriff Arnold Pope. The following cast members from the original cast will also return with him: Hope Davis (Megan Fisher), Toby Jones (Dr. Jenkins / David Pilcher), Shannin Sossamon (Teresa Burke), Tim Griffin (Adam Hassler), Charlie Tahan (Ben Burke), and See also Melissa Leo (Pam's sister), Carla Gugino (Kate Hewson) and Tom Stevens (Jason Higgins). Season two, consisting of ten episodes, will introduce new main characters, roles played by Jason Patrick and Djimon Hounsou. In the sequel to the mystical thriller, the action takes place after the shocking events of the finale of the first season – the residents of Wayward Pines resist the tough rule of the First Generation. Dr. Theo Eldin (Patrick), now a resident of the city, comes to his senses after losing his memory and finds himself in the midst of unrest. He tries to understand what Wayward Pines really is and wants to help save the human race from extinction.
