David Munier, best known for his role as Johnny Crowder from the TV series "Justice", has been confirmed for a regular role in Glen Mazzara's "Damien," which will air on Lifetime Channel. This is reported by The Hollywood Reporter.

The six-part drama produced by Fox 21 Television Studios follows the grown-up Damien Thorne (Bradley James, "Merlin"), the enigmatic child from the 1976 movie The Omen. In Lifetime, the sequel to the movie, Damien seems unaware of the satanic forces gathering around him. Haunted by his past, Damien must accept his essence and realize that he – Antichrist, the worst man of all time.

Munier will play the role of detective Shay, a veteran and cynical cop who is trying to make sense of the strange events surrounding Damien Thorne.

Munier has joined the cast that includes Barbara Hershey as Anna Rutledge, a woman tasked with ensuring that Damien fulfills his Antichrist destiny, and Omid Abtahi as Damien's close buddy Amani Golkar, whose loyalty will be tested after he discovers who Damien really is.

Mazzara (The Walking Dead) will write the script and share executive producer duties with Ross Fineman (Put Out The Lights), who is also involved in the development of the project. Shekhar Kapoor ("Elizabeth") has been appointed director of the first episode of the drama, which will premiere this year.
