Former The Walking Dead showrunner Glen Mazzara is working on a television sequel to the 1976 classic horror movie The Omen for Lifetime. This is reported by The Hollywood Reporter. The drama series "Damien" continues the story of the boy Damien Thorne, who now, as an adult, is haunted by his past. Damien faces a series of dire events and finally must accept his fate, realizing that he is the Antichrist. Mazzara ("The Shield") will write the script and share the functions of the executive producer of the TV project with Ross Fineman ("Put out the light" ). For Mazzara "Damien" is the first project on television after "The Walking Dead", where he acted as showrunner for one and a half seasons and helped the series achieve high ratings.
