The Right Wife ends with Season 7
CBS used the Super Bowl final game to announce in its promo that the current seventh season of Right Wife will be its final. The drama's fate remained in question after the recent announcement that creators, executive producers and showrunners Robert and Michelle Kinga would be leaving the series after season seven. This is reported by Deadline. In January of this year, CBS Entertainment President Glenn Geller expressed confidence that "The Right Wife" "can continue" after the current seventh season, and the production studio CBS TV Studios is working over this plan with executive producer Craig Turk, ready to take over as showrunner after the Kings leave the project. However, the coincidence of two circumstances – the expiration of the main cast and the departure of the Kings – canceled plans to continue the series. Robert and Michelle King have written every central episode of The Right Wife and have been nominated for prestigious television awards. By announcing their retirement from the show, the Kingies made it clear that the story they were developing throughout all seasons, will be completed in the season 7 finale.
