Streaming service Netflix has commissioned the production of the futuristic drama series "Altered Carbon" from a script by Laeta Kalogridis ("Island of the Damned", "Avatar"), who will serve as executive producer. The ten-part project is based on the cyberpunk science fiction novel of the same name by Richard Morgan, published in 2002.
