Netflix will travel to a reshaped future
The online service Netflix intends to master not only the world of Marvel comics, but also science fiction. According to the resource Variety , a series called “ Altered Carbon ”, based on the novel of the same name by Richard Morgan, has gone into production.The idea of creating a 10-episode drama belongs to Skydance Television and Laete Kalogridis . She will act as a screenwriter, producer and showrunner for the new project. Previous works by Kalogridis include the thriller Isle of the Damned and the blockbuster Terminator Genisys. The action of "Altered Carbon" unfolds in the future, when the achievements of humanity make it possible to move the soul and consciousness from one body to another. Former military Takeshi Kovacs is tasked by billionaire Lawrence Bancroft to investigate the suicide of his previous body, which turns out to be a violent death. If Kovacs can get to the bottom of the truth, then perhaps a world where the concept of death has practically outlived its usefulness will have a chance for a different future.  In addition to Kalogridis , the series will be executive produced by David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Marcy Ross.
