AMC has ordered the production of two seasons of The Walking Dead spin-off
AMC commissioned the production of the second season of the drama, tentatively titled "Fear the Walking Dead," which is a companion series to "The Walking Dead" by Robert Kirkman and Dave Erickson and describes the events taking place in Los Angeles at the dawn of the zombie apocalypse. The first season will consist of six hour-long episodes, just like the first season of The Walking Dead, and will debut on the channel in late summer 2015. The second season is scheduled to premiere in 2016. This is reported by The Hollywood Reporter. The creator of the comic "The Walking Dead" Robert Kirkman, along with Dave Erickson, are co-authors of the script for the pilot of the new drama. They also executive produce alongside Gail Ann Heard, Gregory Nicotero and David Elpert. The pilot will be directed by Adam Davidson. The pilot will be produced by AMC Studios. AMC carefully conceals any information regarding the new series. It is only known that the action takes place in Los Angeles at the dawn of the zombie apocalypse, and a new group of people will be at the center of events.
