Lionsgate will shoot a new version of the thriller Cube
Lionsgate Film Studio intends to revive the cult sci-fi thriller Cube. According to The Hollywood Reporter, this time it's not about another sequel, but a complete restart. Recall that in the original movie by Vincenzo Natali, released in 1997, the plot was built around a group of completely unfamiliar people who find themselves in a kind of prison, consisting of adjoining cube-shaped rooms filled with deadly traps. Only after passing them all, the prisoners will be able to get free and understand why they were in captivity. Roy Lee and John Spates will be producing the remake, differently titled "Cubed". Debutant Seiman Kesh will stage the production. The timing of work on the new version of the thriller at the time of this writing has not been specified. Note the low-budget original was in limited release, so it grossed only $ 500,000. In 2002, a sequel called Cube 2: Hypercube was released, and two years later, the prequel, Cube Zero.
