Zach Snyder called Dave Batista into the Army of the Dead
Popular rastler and movie actor Dave Batista will co-star in director Zach Snyder's upcoming movie Army of the Dead, which is set to fund Netflix's streaming service. This is reported by the publication Deadline. It was not specified which character he was asked to play. The production budget of the project is estimated at 70 million dollars, and this will be Snyder's first full-length movie after the huge failure of the DC comics adaptation of Justice League. According to the scenario prepared by Shay Hatten and Snyder, the events will take place against the backdrop of a zombie uprising in Las Vegas, during which the protagonist gathers a group of mercenaries to enter the quarantine zone and commit the greatest heist in history. Zach Snyder and his wife, Deborah Snyder, will act as producers. Filming is due to start in summer 2019. The rental schedule was not yet known at the time of this posting.
