Snyder will have to re-shoot Army of the Dead

Image Zack Snyder has been hatching the idea of creating a zombie horror for over a decade. However, the director was distracted by other projects: either The Guardians needed to be filmed, or the battle between Batman and Superman should be removed. When Snyder finally got serious about the job that will continue his journey into the zombie world after the remake of the cult Dawn of the Dead, he got a decent budget and a lot of creativity from the online service Netflix. But according to the latest information, the director will have to reshoot the horror film "Army of the Dead", the production of which has already entered the post-production stage.

This is due to the careless comedian Chris D'Elya. The Army of the Dead's stand-up stand will have to be replaced due to sexual harassment allegations leveled against D'Eilly earlier this year. He will be replaced by Tig Notaro, a writer, actress, and comedian who viewers could see in the science fiction series Star Trek: Discovery, on the set of action-horror. Re-shooting of the new Snyder film will begin as soon as the safety of the crew and actors is ensured during the pandemic. Notaro will take part not only on location, but also in combined filming using CGI.

Recall that the action of the "Army of the Dead" will unfold in Las Vegas, in which there was a real zombie apocalypse. A group of mercenaries planning to enter the quarantine zone and commit a major robbery decided to take advantage of the situation. The cast of the film includes Dave Batista, Ella Pernell, Ana de la Reguera, Theo Rossi, Huma Qureshi, Hiroyuki Sanada, Garrett Dillahunt and others.

In June, D'Elya found himself at the center of a scandal. Several people immediately stated that he committed inappropriate sexual acts on social networks against underage girls. No formal charges were filed, but Netflix has already pulled out of working with Chris, despite the fact that the platform had previously released recordings of stand-up performances.
