American streaming service Netflix has acquired the rights to show the USA movie "Dovlatov", directed by Alexei German Jr. As noted in the official press release received by the editorial staff of the Cinema News portal, the movie will be shown in English-speaking territories, including the USA, Canada, Australia, Great Britain, Ireland, as well as in the Scandinavian countries.

Also in the European International Film Market (EFM), held during the 68th Berlin International Film Festival, the rights to screen "Dovlatov" were acquired by almost 30 countries, including France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Turkey, Brazil, China and others.

"My expectations were met: the movie attracted a lot of interest from distributors from all over the world. But, to be honest, I did not expect that the result will be almost 30 countries and such a wide geography. "Dovlatov" is our third collaboration with Alexey German Jr. and the first experience of his movie being sold simultaneously to so many countries and with such wide coverage. Now active sales are still underway, so the development of the international destiny of the movie continues, "commented the movie's producer Artyom Vasiliev.

Recall that earlier" Dovlatov "was awarded the Silver Bear award of the Berlin Film Festival for outstanding artistic contribution.
