Netflix's streaming service has hosted yet another directorial project from popular actor, producer and director Andy Serkis. According to the publication Deadline, this is a screen version of the satirical story "Animal Farm" by writer George Orwell.

The project will be a feature movie created using "performance-capture" technologies. The producer will be Matt Reeves, creator of the Planet of the Apes series. Recall that in the literary source, the action takes place on a farm, the four-legged inhabitants of which expel their cruel owner's opinion, enjoy relative freedom for some time, and then find themselves under the yoke of a new tyrant - a pig named Napoleon.

In this way Orwell illustrated the evolution of revolutionary ideas and programs and the inevitable transition from the utopian principles of "universal equality" to dictatorship. The famous quote from the story "All animals are equal. But some animals are more equal than others" became a catch phrase.

Andy Serkis himself argued that he intends to avoid political parallels. "We are not going to engage in politics in the literal sense of the word. Our point of view will be slightly different from the generally accepted one and we will present the characters in a new light," he said.

Recall that earlier Netflix bought from Warner Bros. the rights to another Andy Serkis project - the movie "Mowgli".
