Netflix Films Trap House Horror

Image A fruitful relationship is developing between Imaginarium Productions and the online service Netflix: Andy Serkis and Jonathan Cavendish, together with the streaming giant, produced the adventure film Mowgli and the atmospheric horror film Ritual. Filmmakers are also currently working with Netflix on the adaptation of George Orwell's satirical dystopia Animal Farm. To the delight of all fans of high-quality horror films, the companies announced a new joint project - the film adaptation of Adam Neville's novel No One Gets Out Alive.

The plot revolves around an immigrant who went to the States in pursuit of the American dream. The girl had no idea that after she rented a room in a boarding house, she would have to take care of much more pressing problems, for example, how to stay alive. The main roles in the film will be played by Christina Rodlo (Terror) and Mark Menchaka (Ozark). John Crocker and Fernanda Koppel (How to Avoid Punishment for Murder) are adapting the script, and will lead the filming of Santiago Menghini, for whom the project will be a feature-length debut.

The upcoming horror is the second screen version of Neville's works, to which Imaginarium Productions had a hand: earlier, the company took part in the creation of the mystical thriller "Ritual", based on the book of the same name by the writer. Together with Serkis, Cavendish and Neville, Will Tennant, Phil Robertson and Ritual director David Bruckner will produce the film. Filming will begin this month in Bucharest.
