Two USA movies were included in the program of the Venice International Film Festival. According to the official press release of Roskino, received by the editorial office of Novosti Kino, the tapes entitled Conference (directed by Ivan I. Tverdovsky) and Kitboy (directed by Philip Yuriev) will represent USA in the independent section Giornate degli autori (Venice Days).

The first of them tells about the dramatic consequences of the terrorist act on Dubrovka, which broke the fate of the survivors, and the second tells the story of a young hero who decides to cross the Bering Strait for love. Both movies, shot in co-production with other countries, have previously been presented to an international audience.

Note that the independent section Giornate degli autori (Venice Days) will take place simultaneously with the Venice Film Festival in September 2020. The festival itself will be the first major event to be held in the usual offline format since the start of the novel coronavirus pandemic. Among the movies selected for the program are movies by both debutant directors and recognized masters of world renown.
