A new work by USA director Andrei Konchalovsky entitled "Dear Comrades!" entered the competition program of the 77th Venice International Film Festival. According to the official press release received by the Novosti Kino edition, the movie tells about the dramatic events that took place in 1962 in Novocherkassk.

"We had doubts - whether it is necessary to show today's viewer tragic events that happened almost sixty years ago? But, having made the movie, we realized that this is absolutely necessary, because the younger generation must know the past of their country, "Konchalovsky said in a statement. The main role was played by the director's wife Yulia Vysotskaya.

"The degree of joy that I experienced when I heard about the invitation to the Venice Festival, it is difficult to convey in words. The movie will be released in the domestic distribution Fall 2020. Distributor from Disney Studios and Venice Festival in early September.
