Inside # 03.08: Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2; Fitbit smart watch; first smartphones based on Qualcomm Snapdragon 460; realme device certification

Recently, there has been activity from most electronics manufacturers, which until then was limited by the coronavirus pandemic. Companies are trying to make up for lost time: they develop and introduce a significant number of new products, hold various events and presentations. However, they are in no hurry to share their secrets and achievements. Against this background, the activity of the majority of insiders looks gratifying, who willingly reveal the secrets of many developers. Today we present the next portion of information from network informants. First, let's discuss the new data on the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 smartphone equipped with a foldable display. Then we'll talk about the design of Fitbit smartwatches and the characteristics of the first smartphones on the Snapdragon 460 platform.

A video demonstrating the capabilities of Galaxy Z Fold 2 has appeared on the Internet

The smartphone with flexible display Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 has already been officially presented, but there is still little reliable information about it.

Recently, a 15-second video appeared on the TikTok social network, which allowed everyone not only to have a good look at the device from all sides, but also to get an idea of its capabilities.

There was demonstrated the device lock screen and showed the operation of the camera application in different modes. Everyone also saw the settings page, which clearly shows the used screen refresh rate: 60 or 120 Hz.

The working capabilities of the hinge connecting the two parts of the apparatus have become clearer. For example, only now it became clear that the device can be fixed in open mode at different angles. If the device is bent, it automatically enters Flex mode, which makes it analogous to a laptop. At such times, all the content on the screen is divided between two halves.

Pre-orders for the Galaxy Z Fold 2 are expected to begin accepting only September 1st.

Insiders have unveiled a new watch

Network informant Roland Quandt has unveiled the design of three models of smart watches by the American manufacturer Fitbit. More specifically, we are talking about two modifications of the watch and one fitness tracker called Fitbit Inspire 2.

According to the specialist, the new Fitbit Sense watch will have a metal case, they will be equipped with several auxiliary sensors. It is assumed that they are needed for taking an ECG. Another source of the leak claims that the new product will support Google Assistant through a built-in microphone, as well as a GPS module and water protection.

Another model - Fitbit Versa 3, will be located in the segment of more affordable devices. It will not be able to control the work of the user's heart, but the rest of the filling will fully correspond to the older modification.

Interestingly, gadgets do not have physical control buttons. To do this, they got touch areas on the body.

Fitbit Inspire 2 will now receive Google Assistant instead of the previously used Alexa voice assistant. It can be seen that the novelty was dressed in a new rounded body. It also relies on all the basic functions of tracking the user's physical activity.

When these devices will be officially presented has not yet been announced.

Smartphones that will be the first to receive the new Qualcomm chip have become known

Qualcomm introduced the new entry-level Snapdragon 460p processor earlier this year.

Until now, there was no evidence that devices for commercial use are being developed on its platform.

Insiders have learned that the Moto E7 Plus and OPPO A53 will be the first in this area.

The latest device will be equipped with a 5000 mAh battery, 4 GB of RAM, 64 GB of internal memory and a 48 megapixel dual camera with night mode.

Moto E7 Plus will receive 6 and 128 GB of RAM and ROM, respectively, a 6.5-inch LCD display with a refresh rate of 90 Hz, a 5000 mAh battery (with support for fast charging up to 18 W), a 16-megapixel selfie camera. Its main camera consists of three sensors: 13 Mp (main module) + 2 Mp (macro) + 2 Mp (depth sensor). A fingerprint scanner will be installed on the back panel.

How much the devices will cost and when they are announced is not known.

Three realme smartphones certified in Thailand

Network informants have learned that on September 1, Thailand will announce three devices from realme: 7 Pro, 7i, C17.

This became possible after all the devices were certified by the National Commission on Broadcasting and Telecommunications.

According to some sources, realme 7 Pro is the international version of realme X7. It is powered by a Snapdragon 765G chipset, two 2250mAh batteries, and 65W fast charging support.

The autonomy of the realme 7i (RMX2103) will be provided by a 4890mAh battery with an 18W fast charger. There are no technical details about the third model yet. It is only known that in May this year it was certified in Indonesia.

No pricing has been announced for these smartphones.
