Apple has introduced a new 13-inch MacBook Pro. The updated laptop, according to the company, has become almost three times more productive thanks to a more efficient processor. At the same time, the weight of the device in the aluminum case remained unchanged, without going beyond 1.5 kg. In addition, the older configuration of the device received increased maximums for the amount of RAM and internal memory.

Along with last year's 16-inch MacBook Pro and the current compact MacBook Air models, the new MacBook also has an improved Magic Keyboard - Apple's signature keyboard. The company positions it as the optimal convenient solution for typing on Apple laptops. Instead of the discredited butterfly mechanism, the Magic Keyboard has returned to the scissor type of key fastening. Overall, the updated keyboard features 1mm travel, physical power button, Escape key, touchpad, and fingerprint reader.

Among other innovations, the laptop was distinguished by the increased capacity of the built-in storage, the volume of which in one of the assemblies increased from 256 GB to 1 TB. In addition, the memory can also be expanded up to 4 TB by installing an SSD drive. For the first time in the history of an entire 13-inch line, the new MacBook Pro is built with 32GB of LPDDR4X RAM to accelerate the processing of millions of pixels.

The basis of the presented MacBook Pro 13 was the Core i5 and Core i7 - Intel quad-core processors of the eighth and tenth generations with an overclocking of frequencies from 3.8 to 4.1 GHz. As noted by the manufacturer, until now, every Apple laptop in this series was equipped with a dual-core chip, so now the working power of different modifications of the new Pro 13 will increase from 80 to 180%.

For graphics processing, instead of a discrete solution, the MacBook Pro 13 is equipped with an integrated Iris Plus chip, the performance of which is 25-80% higher than the previous generation. In addition, the MacBook Pro has additional security features in its arsenal. Apple T2 Security Chip, Apple's second-generation proprietary processor, is responsible for it in the updated MacBook. Its functions include monitoring the system to check for possible software hacking. In addition, the security chip further protects the information used by the Touch ID scanner (for example, when shopping online).

The cost of the 13-inch MacBook Pro for the version with 16 GB of "RAM" and 512 GB of internal memory is $ 1,800. An assembly with a 1 TB drive rises in price to $ 2,000, and the manufacturer estimates the maximum configuration with 32 GB of RAM at $ 2,200.
