Employees of the Ukrainian studio 4A Games have repeatedly emphasized that their new Metro Exodus game will be simply huge and will significantly surpass the previous Metro games in scale. But until now, we have not heard the specifics about how big the world of the shooter Metro Exodus will be. Gaming Bolt asked this question to one of the leading people at Deep Silver, Hugh Beynon, and to be honest, the scale of the shooter is really impressive. When there was a presentation of the 17-minute Metro Exodus gameplay, we certainly heard that the passage of one level, just what was shown in the video, can take several hours of real time. But now the total area of the shown level has become known. It turns out that the location is 20 times larger than the largest map from Metro Last Light. Note that in the 2013 game, the largest level had a square of 200 by 200 meters, and in the new Metro, the map will be 4 square kilometers. 
Pretty impressive, isn't it? But there is one more important news. It turns out that the level shown in the demo is not even the largest in the game; in Metro Exodus, locations will be even larger and more branched. It seems like 4A Games has finally made the STALKER 2 we've been waiting for. The only fear is, as if for the sake of giant locations you would not have to sacrifice the elaboration of the levels. After all, wandering around the post-apocalyptic wasteland will be interesting only in the first hours, and then large maps can get bored if the developers do not take care of filling them with quests, interesting characters and memorable locations.
