We are glad to share with you a new part of our collection, in which we tell you about the 100 best games on PC and consoles. If you were looking for something to play in quarantine and are looking for ways not to go crazy during self-isolation, then today we present a couple of dozen more options for exciting leisure activities. Don't miss out on Part 1 of our Top 100 Games Collection, Part 2, and a special Top Quarantine Game. BayonettaPlayable: PC, PS4, Xbox One, NSwitch, PS3, Xbox 360 Bayonetta is a pretty crazy game that, with a stream of absurdity and a kaleidoscope of epic moments per unit of time, immediately gives out a purebred Japanese action game. Starting from the main character Bayonetta, who uses her hair as a powerful weapon, and ending with a plot where a witch, trying to remember her past, fights with the inhabitants of Heaven and Hell, reaching the finale to God himself. The grotesque plot and visuals of the game are talentedly complemented by one of the best action films in the genre. However, it was hardly worth expecting anything else from the project manager Hideki Kamiya, who gave us the Devil May Cry series at the beginning of the century. Outer WildsPlayable: PC, PS4, Xbox One It is customary in the industry to present sci-fi works about interplanetary travel as incredibly large-scale actions, which are only worth No Man's Sky or the Mass Effect series. Outer Wilds takes a slightly different path and without excessive fanfare sends the player to explore the solar system from several space bodies, while proving to the best of any other game how amazing the distant space shining outside our window can be. Time loops, falls into black holes, planets with changing terrain in real time await space explorers in the Outer Wilds. Max Payne 3Where to play: PC, PS3, Xbox 360 Drug cartels, executions and organ trafficking - Max Payne 3 does not hesitate to plunge the player into a cruel story, where even the main character is a man with a broken destiny, whose further path illuminates only a sense of guilt. However, the main merit of Rockstar's action movie is not at all the dark and cinematic plot. The real core of the game is an almost perfect combat system, in which each shootout is like an incredibly spectacular dance of death. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom PainWhere to play: PC, PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360 The fifth installment of the cult series Metal Gear Solid, despite the round of accolades from critics, has an ambiguous reputation among the fan community. A small number of staged moments compared to the previous parts, the repetitiveness of some missions and an indistinct ending are hard not to notice. But what is even more frustrating when the stream of critics overlooks the impressive gameplay freedom and scope of the game's possibilities. MGS V is a unique mix of stealth action and sandbox in an open world, which guarantees an unusual and exciting gameplay. Super Mario Galaxy 2Play: Wii Super Mario Galaxy 2 is further proof that the tirelessly jumping mustachioed plumber is still too early to write off, and the platforming genre has an almost inexhaustible potential for immersing players in unusual game situations. As the basis of the concept - literally dizzying gameplay in several planes and amazing somersaults between many tiny planets and bizarre structures hanging in space. Fallout 2Play: PC Despite its venerable, we would even say old age, Fallout 2 still remains a guide to how to create role-playing games. There are no half measures and the "illusion of choice" widespread in recent years - only a real nonlinearity, where even small changes in the characteristics of a character can open unexpected scenarios for the passage of the game. Fallout 2's only gripe is a 20-year-old picture, but if you get past first impressions, you're guaranteed to have an unforgettable journey in one of the best RPGs in history. The WitnessPlay it: PC, PS4, Xbox One, iOS The Witness puzzle is a real paradise for inquisitive minds hungry for new intellectual food. Sending gamers to an island full of mysteries, the game practically does not give any additional comments, leaving one on one with a world full of mysteries and outlandish constructions. The game of The Witness can be compared in some way to a trip to a museum - a leisurely, in many ways even a meditative walk, where every element of the world can tell amazing stories by its own kind. For those who are not trying to find deeper meaning, the game has 650 brain-breaking puzzles. Star Wars: Knights of the Old RepublicPlay: PC, Android, iOS In light of the frustrating experiences for Bioware fans and fans of the Star Wars universe, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic is perceived as almost better today than it was 17 years ago. With its cinematic presentation and superb non-linearity, Bioware's RPG proves just how talented some of the main RPG engines in the industry were once. Therefore, if you want to visually make sure that the grass was really greener before and at the same time smooth out the sediment from the finale of the new Star Wars trilogy, then KotOR will come in handy. Return of the Obra DinnPlayable: PC, PS4, Xbox One, NSwitch Return of the Obra Dinn, despite its daunting monochrome style, has turned out to be an original, in many ways unique for the modern industry, a product that fully deserves a place in the list of the 100 best games for PC and consoles. Sending the players to the ghost ship, Obbra Dinn entrusts them with a difficult task: to recover from bits of information the events that led to the death of the crew. A typical story that hides a lot of nuances and one of the most addicting detective puzzles in gamedev history. Devil May Cry 5Playable: PC, PS4, Xbox One Devil May Cry 5 is not without flaws in the form of second-rate storyline and level design, which came to us from the class "B" games of the 2000s. But all the flaws are immediately forgotten as soon as Dante, Nero and V go on stage to "kick the demons' asses" and at the same time arrange a humorous performance from almost every appearance. Flying on a rocket, slipping on enemy faces on a motorcycle and controlling giant demons - the fantasy of the developers of Devil May Cry 5 clearly lacks a stopcock and this is only a smaller part of the madness that the combat game can give out. UndertalePlay: PC, PS4, NSwitch When most large studios strive to satisfy the requests of the maximum number of gamers and are afraid of any daring experiments like fire, it's time to pay attention to the gems of the indie scene, among which Undertale occupies a particularly important place. Toby Fox's outwardly unassuming RPG shows how important our even the smallest decisions really are. Together with the degree of freedom, Undertale surprises with its unconventional presentation, which made it one of the top 10 games that take out the brain. Sekiro: Shadows Die TwicePlayable: PC, PS4, Xbox One After numerous accusations of self-replication, From Software in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice presented the long-awaited evolution of Dark Souls ideas. The lack of role-playing elements, the mechanics of vertical movement with the help of a hook, acrobatics, stealth, the ability to swim and resurrect right in the middle of the battle - Sekiro cannot even be accused of thoughtless plagiarism even with all the desire. But what's really important is that From Software this time turned out to be a supremely samurai game that teaches humility and concentration. Only by catching the rhythm of the battle can you expect to win. Team Fortress 2Play: PC The next part of the selection of the 100 best games simply could not do without another Valve masterpiece, which further emphasizes the talent of Gabe Newwell's company as masters in creating additive multiplayer - Team Fortress 2. Offering a cartoon style and full of nuanced gameplay for a scattering of various classes, namely TF 2 became the basis for a large number of modern hits: from Overwatch to the new Valorant. But more importantly, Team Fortress 2 is in no way inferior to younger and daring competitors in terms of the degree of fun and variability of the gameplay. Marvel's Spider-ManPlay: PS4 After numerous and far from always successful iterations on the movie screen, "Friendly Neighbor" has fully deserved a decent version of its adventures in the gaming industry. To the credit of Sony and Insomniac Games, we note that Marvel's Spider-Man, released in 2018, turned out to be exactly what fans were longing for - bright for events, visually impressive and telling a new story of the matured Peter Parker. Marvel's Spider-Man is an example of the right superhero, which is not drowning in cliches and is distinctive enough to interest even those players who have always looked at the heroes condescendingly in multi-colored tights. Yakuza 0Where to play: PC, PS4, Xbox One, PS3 Yakuza 0 is the best part of the cult Japanese series, which tells the story of the everyday life of the eccentric and faithful to the traditions of Japanese criminals. If you are not even familiar with the franchise, then it is worth trying on the role of a young member of the yakuza Kazuma Kiryu at least for the sake of a plot and gameplay that is full of contrasts. In Yakuza 0, both an action-packed drama set in 1980s Tokyo and a feast of absurd humor, where you can put a chicken as the manager of your own business, equally deftly coexists. SubnauticaPlayable: PC, PS4, Xbox One Over the past decade, we have witnessed the release of literally several dozen fairly large games in the Survival genre, but in all their diversity I would like to highlight the amazing Subnautica. Firstly, for an atypical setting with ocean depths and the presence of a completely tangible and adequate storyline. Secondly, for being an oceanologist, where the arrangement of the base and the battle with deep-sea predators give sensations in the style of Robinson Crusoe, only in a sci-fi way. Thirdly, for excursions to the mesmerizing landscapes of the underwater world. Subnautica is the best you can find in the Survival genre today. Hollow KnightPlayable: PC, PS4, Xbox One, NSwitch Developed by a tiny indie studio, Hollow Knight is a real treat for those who yearn for fun metroidvania and vines-like atmosphere. As the Nameless Knight, explore the mysterious paths of the ancient kingdom of Hallownest on your own. In general, the gameplay is nothing new for the metroidvania genre, but due to the perfectly balanced balance between research and combat sections, Hollow Knight risks settling on your hard drive for a long time. XCOM 2Playable: PC, PS4, Xbox One, NSwitch The original 2012 XCOM was a great example of how a complex and mechanically rich turn-based RPG genre can be presented to a young audience in an effective manner. The sequel, released 4 years later, only cemented the status of the genre luminaries for the XCOM series. Firaxis has taken into account the roughness of the original, complementing the already addictive gameplay with procedurally generated locations and mechanics that make the player even more intimate with each member of the combat squad. Hitman 2Playable: PC, PS4, Xbox One Hitman 2 is the logical outcome of a series that for almost two decades has sought to convey the everyday life of a first-class assassin. Against the background of Agent 47, all the heroes of the Assassins Creed series look like a bunch of blockhead amateurs, because Hitman 2 does not offer 2-3 options for eliminating the target. The game goes much further and sends gamers to gigantic puzzle locations, where there are dozens of possible ways to kill. Hitman 2 brilliantly proves that even killing can be an art, for which it is justifiably included in our top 100 best games. Alien IsolationPlayable: PC, PS4, Xbox One, NSwitch, PS3, Xbox 360 Despite the abundance of cruelty and the genre of Survival Horror, Alien Isolation is actually the most sincere declaration of love in the history of the gaming industry. A declaration of love for lamp monitors, for a rare squeak of a motion sensor and even for a steam coming out of a stranger's mouth - a declaration of love for everything that constitutes the first film of the cult Alien franchise. An immense love for the source ultimately allowed Creative Assembly to create, without the slightest doubt, a reference horror, in which scary elements are given no less attention than interesting gameplay.
