According to Internet sources, the 16th line will be represented by Meizu 16 and more advanced Meizu 16 Pro (Plus) models. Both devices received a frameless OLED-screen from the manufacturer Samsung with the absence of a cutout typical for the style of the iPhone X. The displays support 3D Press technology (similar to the 3D Touch function) and vibration feedback using the mEngine tool. The dimensions of the diagonals are 5.6 inches - for Meizu 16 and 6.1 - for Meizu 16 Pro. Resolution information is not provided, nor is aspect ratio information.

The outer glass case is decorated with ceramic inserts; according to unconfirmed reports, its thickness is no more than 7.2 mm. Both devices will have a dual camera with a resolution equal to 12 megapixels, as well as a front camera (20 megapixels). Both new items will be in the best traditions of modern trends equipped with a fingerprint scanning function and, in addition, a built-in NFC tool.

Director of the company Huang Zhang spoke about the technical properties of the announced smartphones. According to him, the devices will be based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 single-chip processor, manufactured using Samsung LPP FinFET technology. The chip has 8 universal cores. Half of them are energy-efficient and operate at 1.8 GHz. The other four high-performance cores are capable of overclocking up to 2.8 GHz. In addition, the chip's structure includes quite powerful graphics Adreno 630 .

Meizu 16 received a 3080 mAh battery capable of fast charging. The power supply of the older brother - Meizu 16 Pro is supported by a more capacious battery 3600 mAh , which is able to recover even faster. Wireless charging technology has also been announced. In terms of software, the devices promise to equip with Meizu's proprietary FlymeOS 7.5 firmware based on Android with built-in OneMind 2.5 artificial intelligence.
