Meizu has unveiled the flagship 16T for the price of low-cost mobile gadgets. First of all, the Meizu smartphone stands out for its cost in comparison with more expensive counterparts with similar characteristics. In fact, the Meizu 16T turned out to be the cheapest device among all based on the premium Snapdragon 855 processor.
Between themselves, the new Meizu smartphones differ in different variations of RAM and internal memory. The simplest 16T assembly has 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory, the top-end modification has 8 and 256 GB, respectively. At the same time, the smartphone does not have the ability to increase the storage capacity, since support for memory cards is not provided.
Among the characteristics of the new flagship, in addition to the eight-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chip, is a non-removable 4500 mAh battery with support for fast charging technology (18 W), a 6.5-inch thin-frame display based on a Super AMOLED matrix, standard audio input, wireless modules Wi-Fi 802.11ac and Bluetooth 5.0, LTE modem.
At the top of the front panel there is a front camera module, a speaker, as well as light and proximity sensors. The operating system 16T, despite the release of the fresh Android 10, still turned out to be the previous Android Pie, supplemented by the proprietary Flyme 7.3 shell.
The manufacturer decided to pay special attention to the screen, or rather to the Super mTouch optical fingerprint identification scanner built under it. According to the company, its new Meizu-flagship has the fastest sensor among such sub-screen solutions. Its speed is 100% faster, and its response time is no more than 0.2 seconds.
The presented smartphone "Meizu" is equipped with a triple main camera. At the same time, the manufacturer, leaving rather "modest" by modern standards, resolutions of all sensors, decided to pay more attention to the characteristics of the optics themselves. As a result, the camera received the main 12-megapixel Sony IMX362 module with f / 1.9 aperture. It is complemented by an 8-megapixel Samsung 4H7 wide-angle lens (118-degree field of view) with support for macro shooting at a distance of 2.5 cm from the subject. The third 5MP sensor (also Samsung) is responsible for image depth.
The camera is complemented by artificial intelligence functions that provide better quality frames. In addition to everything, the main Meizu 16T photo module has an LED flash, supports night shooting, slow motion (240 fps) and 4K recording at 60 fps. The front module with f / 2.2 aperture shoots in 16 MP resolution (it has no LED flash).
Possessing a number of characteristics of premium mobile gadgets, the Meizu smartphone in terms of cost is close to the segment of budget entry-level devices. The simplest configuration 16T is estimated at $ 282.
