She will be directed by Felix Gary Gray, the director of Fast and Furious 8 and Men in Black: International, and written by Greg Russo, who is also currently writing a film based on Mortal Kombat, Resident Evil and Space Invaders.
The film is being produced by a company that is part of the Koch Media group, which also owns the publishing house Deep Silver - they were engaged in the release of the last parts of the game.
In addition, the next part of the franchise is also being developed.
In addition to the recently released Mortal Kombat Legends Scorpion's Revenge animated series, which we recommend watching, we are working on a reboot of the original Mortal Kombat movie from Warner Bros.

The first game was about an insane artist, and the second about a silent movie actor trapped by a traveling director. The film has been in production for two years.
Bloober Team SA also signed a contract with the Hollywood studio Zero Gravity to film their biggest hit, Observer. The game itself is very cinematic, maybe even more than Layers of Fear.
At first it seems like a crime story, but very quickly turns into a horror. The setting tells about the cyberpunk future, where humanity was plagued by the cyber plague and became dependent on technology, and the mega corporation Chiron rules the ball.

TNT Premier Studios and Central Partnership, with the participation of Dmitry Glukhovsky, are currently working on the adaptation of the first novel, Metro 2033.
This is the second attempt by the author to film his most famous novel. The first time he sold the rights to film adaptation to a Hollywood studio, but the cooperation did not work out, as the project writer insisted on moving the setting of the book to America. Glukhovsky refused, since the USA one is the key defining feature of the Metro series.
Filming will begin later this year, if nothing has changed yet. The release is scheduled for January 1, 2022. So far, it is known that this will be the studio's largest and most expensive project.
Also, at the moment we are working on the adaptation of another project in the CIS setting - STALKER
The announcement of the film for the game happened by accident. During IgroMir 2019, director Max Samoilov said that he would not visit the exhibition, as at that time he would be busy with a full meter of STALKER.
He did not disclose any details, except that the picture is being produced at an early stage and the script is being written now. It's too early to talk about the rest.
There is also a Halo TV series in production. The main role of the Master Chief will be performed by Pablo Schreiber. The director's chair went to Otto Bathurst, who is best known for his work on the first episode of Black Mirror.

Call of Duty
Since 2017, work has been underway to create a film adaptation of Call of Duty. However, it is not yet known why, but for some reason the project is frozen. A separate studio, Activision-Blizzard Studios, was created for its production, run by the people responsible for the production of Marvel films, Star Wars, and Quentin Tarantino's paintings.
However, the project should be released, and Activision itself has no reason to cancel the film adaptation, despite the recent successes of Modern Warfare 2019.
And finally, it's worth remembering the Resident Evil series for Netflix, which Chris Avellone is engaged in from the world of scripts to game adaptations - Greg Russo.
The action takes place 26 years after the outbreak of the T-virus, and the city of Clearfield will be the center of events.
The main characters of the series will be two daughters of Albert Wesker, who are born of different mothers. However, these are only rumors and we cannot say for sure. Also, according to various sources, it is argued that the series will take place in two time periods: in 2022 and in 2036.
So far, these are all significant film adaptations of games that are in development. As you can see, their common feature is that they all take a long and tedious creation. It is also worth mentioning that due to the epidemic, many of them may be delayed. However, let's hope most of them live to see the release.
