In this edition of online content, we will discuss two foldable devices. For the first time, we will talk about devices that are being developed by companies from the United States. We are talking about smartphones from Apple and Microsoft. Recently, there has been an activation in the countries of these manufacturers. In the end, we will find out some of the features of the OnePlus device.

A foldable iPhone will have two separate displays

As much as the Americans want to, they will have to develop a foldable smartphone. This trend is dictated by the trends in the industry for the production of these devices.

Apparently in the Apple camp this has long been understood, because insiders recently reported that the company's engineers have begun to create a bendable iPhone.

Blogger John Prosser was the first to spread this news. He stated that this apparatus is "actually foldable".

It can be clearly seen that the new device is a product with two separate panels, interconnected by means of hinged mechanisms. In design, the new product strongly resembles the iPhone 11, but with rounded edges.

The source of information claims that the device is equipped with all components for identifying the user's face.

It should be said that the new product also resembles the LG G8X Dual. Prosser claims that when deployed, the device looks like a continuous and one-piece product.

The main problem with modern bendable smartphones is the presence of a noticeable crease in the middle. It does not improve the aesthetic and practical perception of the device, especially if more than a thousand US dollars have been paid for it.

In the case of using two separate panels, this problem is solved by itself.

However, here we are talking only about one leak. In addition, it is associated with a prototype device. There is no guarantee that the production model will look the same.

It is unlikely that Yabloko will quickly create something like this. The company has a policy of waiting until the bendable display technology is completely perfect. Then the bendable iPhone will appear.

Microsoft will launch a dual-screen smartphone soon

Rumors have surfaced online that Microsoft plans to speed up the production process for a dual-screen device. It will be an Android smartphone and a tablet in one body. The Americans intend to bring it to the market before their competitors from Samsung, who have focused on the production of such gadgets.

A company from South Korea was one of the first to start such developments. Its first such device was the Galaxy Fold. It satisfied some curiosity, but at the same time raised a lot of questions regarding reliability and durability.

Microsoft wants to go the old way, using two separate screens in the foldable form factor, which, when unfolded, combine into one. This is what the Surface Duo is supposed to be.

However, there is very little time left before the debut of the Galaxy Fold 2, which will be presented along with the Galaxy Note 20. It is due to take place on August 5 at the Unpacked 2020 event. It is not clear whether the Americans will have time to finish work on their product before this date.

It is already known that it will not receive the latest and greatest hardware. At the same time, experts say that the new product will definitely not lag behind its few competitors in terms of technical equipment. Microsoft already has experience with dual screens.

Previously, all attempts to combine hardware and software in such gadgets ended in failure. Things should be different now.

However, even if Microsoft shows the Surface Duo before the Galaxy Fold 2, it won't be able to bring it to market quickly. Experts predict that after the announcement of the device, at least two months will pass before the start of its sales.

OnePlus 8T will get fast charging

In the fourth quarter of this year, the company from China plans to release the OnePlus 8T smartphone. According to preliminary reports, this device will be equipped with super fast charging, which is not yet available even in flagship devices.

Before the announcement of this product, the company will present the Super Warp Charge function, which makes it possible to use a 65W charger. The current OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro are both powered by a 30W device. Therefore, it is possible that the OnePlus 8T will receive a charger that will be twice as powerful.

This information was published by Lavigne Amarnani. He claims to have found data on the new functionality in the beta version of Android 11, which the Chinese manufacturer has recently released for its advanced models.

Currently, OnePlus devices use the Warp Charge 30 function. It allows you to charge the device up to 50% in 20 minutes, and up to 100% in one hour. The OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro also get wireless charging that fans have been asking for for a long time.

It is possible that the OnePlus 8T will receive a 65W charger. Then in just thirty minutes he will be able to completely restore the energy reserves in the battery. But it is not yet clear how harmful such speeds are for the batteries used in modern smartphones. This will soon become clear.
