Still waiting for new games from Valve? Then we have two news for you: good and bad. Good - a well-known insider posted screenshots of Left 4 Dead 3 online. Bad - the development of the sequel to the popular zombie shooter is frozen and it is not known when to wait for the release of the game. And is it worth waiting at all.
VNN Youtube Channel host McVeeker did not share the source of the images, but said the screenshots they received show Left 4 Dead 3 in the early stages of development. Presumably screenshots date from 2013 and show the location in Arabic style.
Later, Valve used the groundwork for the Left 4 Dead 3 location in Counter Strike: Global Offensive, and more precisely, when modeling the Dust II map. It is worth noting that the demonstrated location, created in Source 2, has a mostly linear structure and is more suitable for cooperative action than for Counter Strike, where the levels are open and offer many forks to different sections on the map.
McVeeker also noticed that former Valve artist Moby Frank recently shared several artwork for unnamed characters. Presumably, they could become the new protagonists of Left 4 Dead 3 due to the perfect fit into the Arabic setting.
The first details of Left 4 Dead 3 appeared in early 2019. According to McVeeker's sources, the game offered more spacious levels, 8 characters (4 of them are familiar from previous parts of the series) and the possibility of cross-play between the owners of the regular version of the game with players on VR-devices. The project was frozen in 2017 after the developers were unable to decide on the engine that should be used to create Left 4 Dead 3.
