Director of ”Night Administrator” will show the beauty of Africa
In recent years, the world of television has presented viewers with many excellent remakes and reboots of famous Hollywood films. As reported by Deadline , David Hayman's (Gravity, Harry Potter) Heyday Television and the International Division of NBCUniversal Media Corporation have decided to join forces. over a series based on the memoirs of the Danish Baroness Karen Blixen " From Africa ".The autobiographical book was published in 1937. In her memoir, Blixen told readers about 17 years that she spent on a coffee plantation in British East Africa. The first attempt to film the famous literary work was made back in 1969. The book was adapted by Oscar nominee Robert Ardrey, but the management of the studio Universal chose to send his script to the shelf. The heroes of " From Africa " got their second chance to go to the big screen sixteen years later. Sydney Pollack's drama has successfully performed at the box office and won seven Oscars , including a statuette for Best Picture of the Year. Meryl Streep and Robert Redford played the main roles in the 1985 film.  Although the film Pollack managed to melt the hearts of American film academics, many fans of the work of Blixen were disappointed that the film adaptation script contained quite a lot of differences from the original source. The bosses of Heyday Television and NBCUniversal hope that the format of the serial drama will allow them to closely follow the spirit and the letter of the original. The series will be produced and directed by compatriot Blixen - Suzanne Bier . The name of the Danish woman became known around the world in 2011, when her thriller "Revenge" won the " Oscar " in the category "Best Foreign Film".  Last year, Beer was able to use her talent in television: for her work on the acclaimed spy mini-series "The Night Administrator" she was awarded the " Emmy ".
