Casting: Perrineau to Comedy, Mackenzie to Crime

Image Actor and producer Harold Perrino has signed a contract to star in the musical comedy Dumplin 'with Jennifer Aniston, Danielle MacDonald and Odeya Rush. Anne Fletcher, who previously worked on the romantic drama A Walk to Love and the first part of Step Forward, will begin filming a new film based on a script by Christine Hahn.

In the center of the plot is a typical teenage girl who is not understood by her parents. The heroine decides to take part in a local beauty contest in order to annoy her mother, who once won this competition, but she suddenly becomes a role model for herself among unpopular peers. The hero of Harold Perrino will be impressed by the girl's tenacity and courage, after which he decides to help her. The comedy is based on the 2015 novel by Julie Murphy.


Meanwhile, Jennifer Landon and John Bedford Lloyd have joined the cast of The Front Runner, starring Hugh Jackman. The new biopic will tell about the presidential campaign of US Senator Gary Hart in 1988, which failed due to a scandalous love affair. Matt Bye and Jason Reitman worked on the script. The latter also took the director's chair.


And Craig Vincent and J.S. The Mackenzies found themselves aboard Martin Scorsese's crime drama The Irishman, based on the book by Charles Brandt. The actors will be accompanied by the greats Al Pacino and Robert De Niro. The film will focus on De Niro's character Frank Sheeran, the alleged hitman responsible for the disappearance of American trade union leader James Riddley Hoffa. The film is set to hit the big screens in 2018.
