Scorsese's favorites can star together
During his long and successful career in Hollywood, director Martin Scorsese has directed nine films with Robert De Niro and six films with Leonardo DiCaprio . Two years ago, the Oscar-winning director gave the actors the opportunity to become screen partners in his short film "Trial". According to Deadline , the legendary trio may soon finally work on their first feature-length film together.In the spring of last year, a serious battle unfolded in Hollywood for the rights to film the novel by David Grann " The Moonflower Killers: Oil, Money, Murders and the Birth of the FBI ". The company Paramount showed an active interest in the project, which planned to invite to one of the main roles in the film DiCaprio . However, in the end, the rights to film adaptation of the book went to Imperative Entertainment , whose bosses paid for the rights to the action-packed thriller $ 5 million . Over the past year, the project has managed to get a talented screenwriter in the person of Eric Roth (Forrest Gump). Apparently, the winner of the Academy Award has completed his part of the work and has already managed to submit the final version of the text to the studio management.  The tape will be based on real events that took place in the 20s of the last century in Oklahoma. Then, significant deposits of oil were discovered on the land of the Indians from Osage County. Soon, a series of murders swept across the reservation, the investigation of which was entrusted to employees of a young and little-known US federal agency ... In order to adequately implement the ambitious project about the birth of the FBI , the leadership of Imperative Entertainment decided to seek help from such legends of the crime genre as Scorsese , DiCaprio and De Niro . According to insiders, all three are showing great interest in the film, but are in no hurry to formalize their relationship with the studio.  In the joint plans of Scorsese and De Niro , the creation of the thriller "The Irishman" for the online service Netflix remains, and the opportunity to work again with DiCapriothe director promises to present a film based on the bestseller "The Devil in the White City".
