Paramount acquired Scorsese and DiCaprio's project

Image Last fall, Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio decided to adapt David Grann's novel The Moon Flower Killers, which will be the duo's sixth joint project. Scorsese will direct the adaptation with DiCaprio in the lead role. The film was written by Eric Roth (Forrest Gump). Filming was planned to begin this summer, but so far the process has dragged on, and Paramount studio took the tape under its wing.

The Moonflower Killers is a story about the extermination of the Osage Indians, where oil was discovered on the territory of the settlement. The plot is set in Oklahoma in the 1920s. The case of mysterious murders was entrusted to the so-called Bureau of Investigation, the now familiar FBI for us, which has to fight corruption on the part of oil magnates and politicians in order to bring criminals to clean water.

Paramount's appearance on the horizon seems like a good sign for the picture. However, do not forget that Scorsese is incredibly meticulous and never releases pictures one after another. In the meantime, the project is preparing for the start of production, the viewer can appreciate other works by DiCaprio and Scorsese. The latter has almost completed the post-production phase of The Irishman, which will be released on Netflix this year, and DiCaprio will appear in Quentin Tarantino's new film Once Upon a Time in Hollywood after a four-year hiatus.
