Spielberg will reveal the secrets of the Pentagon
Currently, the number of production projects of Steven Spielberg includes about 15 films in various stages of completion, for four of them the filmmaker is also a director. Therefore, he decided not to waste time on trifles and add one more picture to this already considerable list.As Deadline has learned, Spielberg will lead the filming of The Post , a drama based on a true story that took place in 1971. Then the so-called "Pentagon Papers" - a secret study concerning the political and military relations between the United States and Vietnam, were published in the press. The film, scripted by Liz Hannah , which was acquired by Amy Pascal's company last November, tells the story of military analyst Daniel Ellsberg, who made a partial copy of a collection of documents and gave it to the press. Initially, part of the report was published in The New York Times , but later The Washington Post began a series of its own investigative journalism. Along with Spielberg , Hollywood stars of the first magnitude also joined the work on the project - Tom Hanks and Meryl Streep will play the main roles in the film. Hanks will play The Washington Post editor-in-chief Benjamin S. Bradley, and Streep will play the editor of Catherine Graham newspaper.  As for Spielberg himself, his fantastic action movie Ready Player One is still in post-production, and for the drama The Kidnapping of Edgardo Mortara, the director is already selecting the cast.
