Batman will get a spin-off
Movie fans do not yet really understand what the new "Batman" will be, but director Matt Reeves is already ready to create his own universe of the Dark Knight. The filmmaker begins work on a series about the Gotham police.The show will air on HBO Max, and thus herald the emergence of a new universe of Batman, spanning multiple platforms. It is not about the Dark Knight itself, but about the police department of Gotham and corruption that permeates all spheres of city life. Reeves himself is working on the series, and is assisted by screenwriter Terence Winter ("The Wolf of Wall Street", "The Sopranos").“This is an amazing opportunity not only to expand the world I create in the film, but to do it in as much detail as the format of the series alone allows. And working with the talented Terence Winter, who has already written deeply and powerfully about the worlds of crime and corruption, is a dream "," Reeves admitted.  It is noteworthy that on the pages of comics the concept underlying the new project has already proven itself well. In the "Gotham Police" series, Batman is not the main character - he is shown only occasionally, but readers could get a closer look at the life of the Gotham police and learned how normal cops keep order in a city teeming with supervillains.
