As it turned out, such measures are bearing fruit: 2019 turned out to be a record year for our cinema in terms of fees and the number of viewers.The Kino Fund posted an eloquent report on its website, from which it follows that in total, at the end of last year, domestic films were able to earn 55.4 billion rubles, and the number of tickets sold exceeded 200 million. Compared to 2018, the growth in box office performance was 10.3%, and in terms of the number of tickets sold - 9.5%. In addition, two whole domestic films ("T-34" and "Kholop") were able to earn more than 2 billion rubles. The top ten most popular releases in 2019 also included: “Policeman from Rublyovka. New Year's mayhem 2 "," Union of salvation "," Ivan Tsarevich and the Gray Wolf 4 "," Loudspeaker "," Grandmother of easy virtue 2. Aged avengers "," Fixies against krabotov "," Billion "," Text ".  It is noteworthy that more than half of the leaders on the list were released in theaters during the New Year holidays or shortly before them. So it is difficult to say what resulted in record numbers - the success of the material itself or a trick with deliberate "hammering" of hot rolling dates.
