Andrew Garfield is planning to conquer Broadway
The star of the Red Riding trilogy and one of the Spidermen is eyeing a starring role in the musical biopic Tick, Tick ... Boom from Netflix. The project went to the online service as a result of hot sales, and the Broadway director Lin-Manuel Miranda has already been approved for the post of director, for whom this picture will be his debut in cinema. The script for the biopic was written by Stephen Levenson, based on the life of La Boheme author Jonathan Larson.The action of the tape will unfold in 1990. Aspiring composer John writes a musical called Superbia, hoping it will bring him fame and honor. But his girlfriend is tired of the fact that work for John is more important than relationships, and is not going to put off her life for the sake of his career aspirations. Meanwhile, the protagonist's best friend and roommate Michael gets a great offer and leaves for Madison Avenue. And the closer the composer's 30th birthday is, the more often he wonders whether his dream is worth all these sacrifices.  Jonathan Larson, as a playwright and composer, is known on the American theater scene primarily for his exploration of multiculturalism, addiction and homophobia in his works. His most famous musicals "Bohemia" and Tick, Tick ... Boom are, in fact, his manifestos as a creator. Larson died at the age of 35 from undiagnosed undiagnosed aortic dissection and received three Tony Awards and a Pulitzer Prize posthumously.
