Adam Pally May Play John Belushi

Image Happy Ending Adam Pally is in talks to star in John Belushi's biopic. In the so far unnamed project, Ike Barinholz is to appear as Dan Aykroyd, and Aubrey Plaza is auditioning for the role of John's wife. It is reported that the audience is waiting for a story of great fame and tragedy of the notorious American Dream.

The biopic will be directed by David Frankel (The Devil Wears Prada), and the script was written by Steve Konrad (Miracle) about ten years ago. When the media last wrote about this project, Alex Brightman, popular on Broadway, was aiming for the main role, but now the producers apparently decided to find someone better known in order to attract decent funding.

Belushi was a great comedian who migrated from Saturday Night Live to the big screen and appeared in The Blues Brothers and other popular films. His life ended at 33 due to a drug overdose. The biopic is expected to highlight John's peak, and the script features a host of celebrities including SNL boss Lorne Michaels, musician Keith Richards, and Belushi's top hangout partner Robin Williams. In one of the interviews, Robin, who was present at that very deadly orgy at the Chateau Marmont Hotel, admitted that John's death marked the beginning of “a great exodus of show business stars from drugs.”
