Elizabeth Banks will ride the magic bus
We recently announced that Scholastic Entertainment will bring the popular Animorph series to the screens. Now the company has its eyes on another children's series: luck has smiled on Joanna Cole's Magic School Bus, which will be turned into a feature film with elements of fiction and animation.Each of the books in the series tells about the adventures of a school teacher Miss Frizle, a very eccentric and intelligent person. Together with the class, she sets off on an exciting journey by bus, which, depending on the circumstances, can turn into an airplane, submarine, spaceship or some other form of transport. Scholastic Entertainment has already secured the support of Universal Pictures and Marc Platt Productions, as well as the actress for the role of Miss Frizle. She will be played by Elizabeth Banks, who, in addition to being a fearless teacher, will also take on the functions of a producer. The project has not yet received a director.  The Magic School Bus has never been on the big screens, but Miss Frizle and her students have been on television for a long time. Since 1994, the animated series of the same name has been released on the PBS channel, which lasted four seasons. In 2017, Netflix released its sequel, The Magic School Bus Back in Business, but it was far from the popularity of its predecessor.
