JJ Abrams will drop by the Overlook Hotel
Last fall, JJ Abrams' company and WarnerMedia signed a major deal, and today it became known about three projects that the producer is preparing for the HBO Max streaming service. Abrams will not only bring together the Dark Justice League on small screens, but will also organize an excursion to the famous Overlook.The infamous Stephen King hotel will be the setting for the prequel series The Shining. And although the details of the show are kept secret, it is reported that its creators were guided by the example of Bates Motel, which in turn is a prequel to the cult Psycho. Perhaps the audience will not even see the Torrens family, but they will meet other visitors to the Overlook Hotel, who never got out of it and turned into ghosts. The Overlook will be Abrams' second collaboration with Bad Robot and Warner Bros. Television. They previously worked on the Castle Rock anthology, and the latter's producers, Dustin Thomason and Scott Brown, are in the process of writing a new series.  The Shining is one of King's most popular works. It formed the basis for a feature film directed by Stanley Kubrick, a miniseries and was continued. "Doctor Sleep" was also adapted for big screens, but without much success: the picture failed at the box office, despite good reviews from critics.
