Crime to the Rescue

Image Picturestart will delight fans of comic books and stories of dizzying robbery. A young Hollywood studio has snatched from the hands of experienced competitors the rights to screen adaptation of the graphic novel “Four Kids Walk Into a Bank” (4 Kids Walk Into a Bank).

The comic by Matthew Rosenberg and Tyler Boss was released in 2016 and received flattering reviews in the press. In the center of the plot is 12-year-old Paige, whose father was a bank robber, but tied up with a dark past after the death of his wife. Once a gang of criminals breaks into the house of the main characters, forcing the father to do the last thing. Paige doesn't want her parent to return to a slippery criminal track, so she can only gather friends and clean the bank before her father's gang does.

Matthew Robinson (The Invention of Lies, Dora and the Lost City) will be adapting the comic for the movie screen.

Picturestart Studios was founded in 2018 by former Lionsgate CEO Eric Feig, who has a hand in the creation of Twilight, Divergent and The Hunger Games. Unsurprisingly, the company decided to specialize in films for a younger audience.
