Oscar-winning Russell Crowe will team up with Scream writer and producer Kevin Williamson to create a supernatural thriller about an actor battling his demons. The project is under the wing of Miramax studio, and it will be filmed according to their own script by Joshua John Miller (Mao's Game) and M.A. Fortin ("Queen of the South"). The plot of the thriller will focus on a troubled actor who starts filming a horror movie, but with his inappropriate behavior shocks the entire team. The first to notice really strange things is his long-lived daughter. At first, the girl decides that dad has returned to his old addictions, but then she realizes that things are much worse ... Williamson's production company Outerbanks will be producing the tape, and Kevin recruited Ben Fast and Bill Block as a colleague. In addition to Scream, Kevin has worked on Dawson's Creek and The Vampire Diaries, and Crowe's most notable recent role has been American media executive Roger Ayles from The Loudest Voice.
